Methodology
- Healthy male adolescents aged 12-14 years with no regular training in the prior year.

CRP, IL-1beta, IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, TNF-alpha, and TGF-beta decreased significantly; IL-6 and IL-10/TNF-alpha increased.
Lipidomics
Thirty-three lipid species changed significantly after training.
33/296 lipids changed; 16 decreased and 17 increased.
Insights
- A short all-out cycle SIT block can improve adolescent VO2peak with only 2-3 minutes of sprint work per session.
- Long recoveries are part of the tested protocol and should not be compressed when translating SIT.
- Standard lipid panels may miss molecular lipid changes.
